State-of-the-art research capabilities and scientific equipment to support all types of research. The Amundsen is equipped with 65 scientific systems and 22 fixed and portable laboratories capable of meeting the needs of oceanographers specializing in physics, chemistry, and biology, as well as geologists, atmospheric scientists, remote sensing experts, and medical researchers. This equipment is maintained, developed, and operated with the support of a qualified technical team composed of professionals in oceanographic instrumentation.
